JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Supplemental Duties and Minimum Requirements :

 

The candidate shall have Strong testing experience working with PeopleSoft versions  across its Supplier Contract Management (SCM) modules  SCM,eProcurement, and Strategic Sourcing (desired) ¿ Strong

testing experience working with PeopleSoft versions across its Financials Management Systems (FMS)modules  General Ledger, Account Payables, Account Receivables, Billing, Commitment Control, Treasury Cash Management, Asset Management, Purchasing, ePro,Strategic Sourcing and Project Costing (desired) Advanced knowledge on testing techniques.  Hands on experience with Test Management Tools (required). Experience in development, deployment andenforcement of quality assurance procedures and standards in software testing.  Knowledge of all phases of Application Life cycle including systems analysis,

design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation and maintenance. Experience with automated testing tools and best practices.  Ability to scope, plan and schedule activities related to software quality assurance, testing and configuration management. Ability to recommend process improvements for validity of results, accuracy, reliability and conformance to established standards. Demonstrated experience and understanding of test concepts, methodologies and practices in both waterfall and Agile/SCRUM environments. Ability to identify ways to improve the process of delivering solutions, sharing knowledge to continually improve overall implementation methodology.  Hands on experience with Rational Jazz Application Lifecycle Management Suite (desired). Hands on experience testing using Rational Quality Manager (desired)

 

 

IT Quality Assurance Analyst

 Responsibilities

1. Provide quality assurance standards, performance and functionality for enterprise-wide IT project

2. Actively contribute to the team effort to maintain the vision and direction of the IT Quality Assurance team

3. Provide creative and practical solutions to meet WMATA's goals

4. Create test plans, test scripts and plan projects based on the analysis of IT technical specifications

5. Review IT functional specifications and create/review test cases

6. Document, track and communicate test results, and analyze unresolved problems

7. Efficiently and effectively communicate status of assigned tasks to the WMATA developers/engineers, and management

38. Contribute to review and inspection meetings by providing input on requirements and design documents

9. Identify, analyze and document IT hardware/software defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies and deviations from standards and suggest options to conform to standards, individually and in a team environment

10. Instruct, direct and review IT Quality Assurance of the work of others and/or act as an internal consultant to management on complex application projects, software, work methods or procedures.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

2. Experience with HP automated testing toolkit

3. Experience with black box and white box testing

4. Knowledge and experience in database technology and writing test scripts including SQL, queries and creating test data

5. Experience in all phases of Application Life cycle including systems analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation and maintenance

6. Experience in development, deployment and enforcement of IT Quality Assurance procedures and standards

7. Experience in developing IT test criteria, IT test plans and conducting application testing with expert level experience in designing, implementing and documenting IT test plans and IT test cases

8. Experience in Windows, LINUX, UNIX

9. Ability to scope, plan and schedule activities related to software quality assurance, testing and configuration management
